I'm skeptical

Something about this article made my internal B.S. detector go "ding, ding ding!" Or maybe it was more like "woooop! woooop!" Anyway.

Don't get me wrong -- I do think global warming is a real problem. It's causing actual, physical damage to the planet, and it's a more serious problem than most people realize.

However, I have a hard time believing it's spontaneously stranding polar bears on huge icebergs. Does this seem shady to anyone else? I don't think the polar ice caps are melting so quickly that two polar bears could have settled down for a nap and woken up in the middle of the ocean. Plus, the photo just looks fake. It seems a little too convenient that both bears are looking at the camera, and it doesn't seem like the shape of the iceberg should be able to support their weight. I dunno.

But hey, I'm not an expert on either polar bears or the arctic. It just seems strange to me.
