Urban Decaydance
A few years ago, I became interested in photo essays on urban decay. Two of the best blogs I found were Satan's Laundromat and O'Boyle Photo. Some of you may remember O'Boyle's exploration of Hospital X from my old blog. His work is incredibly creepy and thought-provoking. I love how his photos of abandoned places imply that they used to be full of life and culture.
I was browsing through his site again today, and I found an awesome photo set called Holy Land U.S.A. I'd never heard of the place, so I did a little research and found out it used to be a pretty popular roadside attraction in the 60s and 70s. It's so weird though! And apparently it has a pretty fascinating history. Fascinating, creepy, and just plain strange.

I thought I saw something about this place being restored...but I might be making that up, too. Neat pics, either way!
